The position: Assists the Manufacturing Engineering Team who are responsible for the development and implementation of capital projects. Will work closely with Plant and Branch Operations in order to anticipate and resolve issues.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Responsible for financial statement preparation of manufacturing facility.
Maintain and administer the Fixed Asset System for the entire company.
Communicate with Company officials to understand and manage the financial statements, payables and other financial processes that are outside the scope of plant level control. Respond to requests for information.
Ensure proper processes and steps are followed for purchase order entry, invoicing, receivables, payables, inventory reconciliation and other functions that fall into the category of plant-level financial responsibilities.
Coordinate with an Office Assistant to ensure data entry is completed timely and accurately. Delegate tasks to the Office Assistant as needed.
Communicate with Company officials to understand, prepare for and manage payables and other financial processes that are outside the scope of plant level control. Respond to requests for information.
Compile and report information for costing trailers and trailer components. Communicate with necessary departments to assemble this information.
Review expenses, expense categories, invoicing and vendor information and ask questions when necessary.
Responsible for vendor invoice processing, monitoring vendor balances and vendor payments.
Communicate with vendors regarding financial matters and effectively resolve issues with them.
Maintain vendor and customer master files.
Other duties as assigned.
YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)
Education: Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Travel: None.
Skills:
Ability to read manufacturing prints.
Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
Computer skills including MS Office and Solidworks.
Analytical analysis and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and organizational skills
Problem Solving: Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see hidden problems; is excellent at honest analysis; looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at the first answers.
