Position Overview
As a .NET Developer on our Internal ERP Modernization Project team, you will have the opportunity to work on a challenging and rewarding project that will significantly enhance our organization’s operational efficiency and effectiveness. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions to meet the evolving needs of our business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications and services as part of the ERP Modernization Project.
- Work with the project team to ensure the seamless integration of the ERP system with other business applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.
- Perform unit testing and participate in system testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the developed solutions.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues, providing timely resolutions to maintain system uptime.
- Collaborate with other developers and provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to .NET development.
- Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to gather and understand ERP system requirements.
Job Requirements/Skills
- Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Proven experience as a .NET Developer, with a strong understanding of C#, VB.NET, SQL, .NET CORE, XUnit, git, and related technologies
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code/DevOps is a plus
- Experience with Azure and Azure DevOps is a plus
- Familiarity with ERP systems and experience in ERP Modernization Projects is a plus
- Agile/Scrum/React/Android development/WPF experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Office Environment. Utilizing an office desk-sitting, reading, listening or speaking with the ability to move intermittently throughout the day
- Strong sensory skills, such as good eyesight, good hearing and dexterity
- Exposure to physical operations in scrap recycling facilities, including walking/climbing in active industrial yards with uneven surfaces in inclement weather.
- Ability to lift and carry object between 15-30 lbs.
