Engineering Cad Technician

Non-Exempt/Project Engineer

Summary/Objective

Ramaco Resources is seeking an engineering/CADD technician that is familiar with surveying to join the engineering team at its Raven, Virginia office.

Essential Functions

· Prepares mapping as is required by engineering and operations. Familiar with AutoCADD and the skills or ability to become proficient with the program. Uses electronic surveying equipment such as GPS, laser scanners, drones, and theodolites to measure and record spatial data.

· Computes data necessary for driving and connecting underground passages to control direction and extent of mining operation.

· Computes volume of coal in portions of mine, using survey data.

· Ensure that all mining activities comply with relevant laws, standards, and codes of practice for health, safety, and environment.

· Exceptional attention to detail.

· Proficient with working up check surveys and entering survey notes and take-up.

· Analytical, observant, and resourceful.

· Adaptability and flexibility to work in different environments and conditions, and an awareness of the cultural, social, and environmental impacts of mining.

· Accurate and reliable data collection, processing, and presentation are essential for success in this role.

· Familiarity with Carlson Advanced Mining – Underground and SurfaceTiming.

· Communication skills (verbal and written)

Preferred Education and Experience

· WV Underground Class 06 and/or Surface Class 07 Miner Certification.

· Surface and/or underground surveying experience a plus.

Work Environment

Work requires visit/travel to active underground and surface mine locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
