This position pays an average of $75,000/year depending on experience, certifications, and location.
Summary of Work: As an Electrical BIM Technician, you will play a crucial role in the design of building electrical systems. Utilizing your proficiency in Revit building modeling software, you will transform initial rough system designs into detailed and accurate working documents. This position requires collaboration with the Electrical and Mechanical Departments to ensure seamless coordination and adherence to established specifications and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Building Systems Modeling: Utilize Revit MEP software to create accurate and detailed models of building electrical systems based on initial design concepts.
- Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Electrical and Mechanical Departments to ensure effective coordination and integration of electrical systems within the overall building design.
- Review and Compliance: Thoroughly review engineering drawings and designs to ensure compliance with established specifications, industry standards, and project requirements.
- Documentation: Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation of electrical systems, including technical drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and clarity for construction and implementation.
- Guidelines Adherence: Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions, maintaining consistency with industry best practices and company standards.
- Supervision: Work under immediate supervision, reporting to a supervisor or manager, while contributing to the overall success of the project team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer-Aided Design, or related field.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or internship, with proficiency in Revit MEP software.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical information clearly.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in modeling and documentation.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the success of the project.
