Enforcement Officer

To carry out enforcement and collection of Court Orders in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations.

Work Hours: This position will work and be paid for 75 hours in a 2 week pay period

Starting Salary: $22.70 an hour / $44,265 annually

Current county employees will follow the county's promotion/demotion policy.

Responsibilities:

1. Serves bench warrants, personal service of court documents, locates absent parents/payees/payers and investigates and verifies information on parties involved.
2. Provides office and courtroom security.
3. Maintain semi-annual weapons qualification and other annual defensive tactics training.
4. Interacts with other counties, agencies, clients, and general public to enforce court orders.
5. Record keeping and report maintenance.
6. Transports prisoners.
7. Assists in preparing cases and documentation for litigation/court hearings.
8. Attends meetings and training as required.
9. Perform other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Act 235 Lethal Weapons training is preferred but not required
3. Some previous computer training.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. 2-4 years’ experience in law enforcement, human services or courts preferred.
