Parking Enforcement Officer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parking Enforcement Officer to join our team. As a Parking Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with parking regulations and maintaining order in designated parking areas. This is a vital role in maintaining the flow of traffic and ensuring fair access to parking spaces for all individuals. Performs a variety of routine and complex technical and clerical work involved in the enforcement of parking regulations. Data entry experience and valid State driver's license required.

Duties:
- Patrol assigned areas to enforce parking regulations
- Issue citations or warnings to vehicles in violation of parking regulations
- Monitor parking meters and collect fees as necessary
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide assistance regarding parking regulations
- Maintain accurate records of citations issued and fees collected
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary
- Assist with traffic control during special events or emergencies

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Computer experience
- Clerical experience

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Willingness to obtain knowledge of local parking regulations and laws
- Excellent report writing skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Physical ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time and withstand exposure to various weather conditions

Pay: $15.00 per hour
