The Energy Program Manager is responsible for the coordination and oversight of a strategic national marketing program focused on one or more specific submarkets. This person will oversee business development activities for major planning and design programs, work with the Director of Business Development (DBD) in the areas of strategic planning, development of annual and long-term goals, budgeting, program leadership, client development, community and industry participation, project pursuits, staffing and marketing training. This person will work in cooperation with the Director of Operations (DOO) for the Engineering Division, Project Managers, Discipline Leads, and Marketing department on marketing strategies and pursuit execution. Specific duties are outlined below.
- Responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan for the Energy Program working closely with DBD.
- Manage pursuit efforts, and client development to maximize client satisfaction, company growth and profitability.
- Manage the development of marketing operating plans and budgets and implement tracking and reporting of area marketing performance indicators, needed actions, and process improvements in the Energy Program.
- Collaborate with DOO and DBD on key hires and investments.
- Monitor new market trends and participate in development and implementation of local, regional, and national strategic and tactical planning within the Energy Program. This includes strategic positioning for conferences, technical expertise, and key organizations involvement.
- Participate in project pursuits, proposal reviews, program evaluations, track client feedback and peer review actions, problem resolution, recognition activities and client functions. Identify staffing expansion at new or current office locations that could support the Energy Program working with the DOO and DBD.
- Participate in negotiation of contracts and project start-up for new awards on the projects that you are managing, working closely with the DOO.
- Identify key hires to help fill technical holes within the Energy Program to maintain appropriate staffing levels needed for project execution and pursuits.
- Work with DOO to allocate company resources within the Energy Program to execute existing projects and develop those in the future.
- Serve as a Senior Project Manager for key clients/projects and achieve a utilization goal of 50% annually.
Compensation Package:
- Pay Range: $180,000 - $230,000 annual (DOE)
