Energy Solutions is currently seeking a full-timeSolar Programs Project Manager II to join our Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) Department. As a member of the DERs department, you will be responsible for monitoring and maximizing the throughput and quality of a high-volume application processing team on a complex solar program. Solar energy is critical in driving our nation's progress toward a decarbonized grid, and you will play a material role in helping our team make this future a reality. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overall direction, management, quality control and completion of application processing project deliverables
- Using data to determine work assignments to best meet the service level expectations of the client as well as to identify potential areas of risk and improvement
- Managing the design and implementation of multiple projects and implement continuous improvement best practices
- Continuously identify and develop process improvements and efficiencies; proactive recommendations for Program improvements, including suggesting solutions
- Managing work volume, such as monitoring flow and controls for application processing, including assigning work to staff; track aging projects and facilitate resolution
- Communicating application processing progress to management and clients both in writing and verbally including the use of reports, tables, charts, and graphs to convey information.
- Interacting with customers, clients, and external collaborators
- Maintaining knowledge of Program practices, guidelines, and updates, ensuring all applications are reviewed in context of those practices and updates.
- Articulating edge cases and consulting with client to determine ruling; documenting decisions and incorporating into program documentation
- Work cross functionally across teams as the subject matter expert for application processing
- Providing insight and expertise to help build out training support for new processors
- Collaborating with Information Systems team to provide input on portal requirements that will build efficiencies for application processing,
- Participating in user acceptance testing specific to application processing workflows; determine if software bugs are resolved.
Minimum qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of work experience and/or graduate school
- A bachelor's degree with preferably an energy focus
- Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis including high level of experience in Excel
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with clients and to serve as the primary point of client contact on projects
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in regard to project focus
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Ability to work and thrive independently
- Excellent personal accountability and quality control practices
Desired qualification:
- Familiarity and/or experience working with one or more DERs technologies (e.g., distributed solar, energy storage, demand response, microgrids, and electric vehicle grid integration)
- Experience and fluency with the utility incentive program and regulatory framework
- Direct experience in incentive program implementation
- Database familiarity (pulling queries, reporting)
Salary DOE: $75k - $90k / Annually
