Role: Electronics Technician (Test Equipment)
As a key member of our Products Test Department, the qualified candidate will perform standard electronic/electrical, mechanical, and technical activities to ensure product quality. This position reports to the Product testing manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, test and maintain electronic/electrical and mechanical systems or their components in a controlled environment.
- Follow the nonconformance process when nonconformity is identified
- Recommend changes in test procedures and test specifications to improve performance and functional testing of production or prototype components.
- Assist product engineers and may develop basic test rig/apparatus to conduct functional, operational and environmental tests on existing or prototype systems
- Promote and maintain a cordial and professional relationship with current and prospective customers, vendors, co-workers, and other professionals.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2- year Associates degree and/or a Technical certificate in a technical area with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience. Additional equivalent experience may be considered in place of the certificate or degree.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, sketches, and test procedures to determine assembly and test methods for electrical and mechanical components.
- Must have skills to work with tools and equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes to generate accurate test data and write concise reports.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, technical aptitude, ability to meet deadlines, and self-motivation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4- Year Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in the Aviation Industry or as an Avionics Technician.
- Technical knowledge and operational knowledge of air data test sets / Pitot Static testers.
