Description

As an Electrical SW IRT, you will be the point person to resolve end of line test issues affecting vehicle builds. This role is for someone with a high degree of initiative and excellent communications skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary SW EOL Issue during build events at the plant and Pre Production Operations (PPO)
Support EVC (Electric Verification Check) and HVF (Harness Verification Frame) flash and functionality activities
Track Electrical software PRTS issues and ensure that owners provide timely and effective closure
Support the QE and diagnosticians in completing the PRTS 4-Diamonds as well as reject or approve Electrical PRTS issues at Launch PRC stage
Provide proper preliminary root cause analysis to ensure appropriate assignment of PRTS issues
Ensure all Process Change opportunities are reviewed. (Diamond 5)
Support and/or Coordinate Engineering Try-Outs (ETO) and Plant Trial Runs (PTR)
Provide and implement containment plans as required
Track/monitor breakpoints of containment and corrective action
Support Electronic Easel Board reviews. Ensure issues are captured, understood, and routed to the correct team for troubleshooting
Work with Electrical Diagnosticians, QEs, AVG organization, and VSIEs to plan lab check process for all future programs before builds begin
Present top issues / PPO Look ahead info to leadership forums – VIP Ops, eSAPIR
Escalate unresolved issues as needed to respective leadership forums
Required Skills / Experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering
At least 2 years of post-graduation engineering experience required or has launched a VIP vehicle program at a GM plant
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of using a NeoVi/Vehicle Spy tools
Knowledgeable in the use of DPS and/or GBFTT programming tools
Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally
Demonstrated Bold and It’s on Me Behaviors
Must be comfortable reporting out to senior leaders of the SMT and program teams
Knowledgeable of the Software release process from SMT to Manufacturing – VCAM/SPR/SPD/GEPICS
Demonstrated ability of “dealing with ambiguity” to enable timely decision making
Knowledgeable on PRTS system and processes
Knowledgeable in GVDP, ECR, EWO, TWO, BSD processes and systems
Minimum 2 year commitment if selected for this role
Travel may be required to plants for build events up to 50%
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI or Milford three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business].
