Description
Gather technical requirements, and design, using IBM Rational DOORS and IBM Rational Rhapsody tools, GM conventional passenger vehicle and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) (passenger car, truck and sport utility vehicle) embedded software focusing on battery state estimation features including State of Charge (SOC), State of Health (SOH), and State of Function (SOF) and rings, for Multiple Output Dynamically Adjustable Capacity System (MODACS) Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) battery. Perform embedded Electronic Control Unit (ECU) testing on test bench and in vehicle, using dSPACE Hardware in the Loop (HIL), ETAS INCA, Vehicle Spy, Vector CANape, Vector CANoe tools, and neoVI FIRE and Lauterbach hardware, to verify functionality at Function, Controller and System levels prior to production release. Set technical objectives and tasks to implement software for infrastructure and platform software components supporting communication for GM ECUs in Embedded C, using Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Eclipse IDE, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), and following Motor Industry Software Reliability Association (MISRA) CERT C standards, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and GM software development process.
Additional Description
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, or related field, and two (2) years as an Engineer or related role. Must also have experience with: gathering technical requirements, and designing passenger vehicle embedded software or algorithms for battery state estimation features, State of Charge (SOC) and State of Health (SOH) for MODACS battery.
