Hybrid : This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to be at Warren, Michigan at minimum three (3) days each week.

Role  
This role has an integral impact by facilitating a team to build a solid structure of Electrical standards, processes, and best practices that support improvements to electrical first time quality and customer feedback. This role facilitates a team of Electrical Subject Matter Experts to provide onsite support at every plant in North America based on need.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Manage the Electrical Bill of Operations Process and Standards

  • Update and maintain BoO Standards

  • Provide direction to a team that supports and facilitates improvements in Electrical Standards, Process, Wiring / connectors, and issue investigation.

  • Track improvements in Electrical First-time quality and Electrical warranty and drive focus in areas that are deficient. 

  • Conduct Electrical Bill of Operations reviews with each plant to evaluate current status of each BoO elements.

  • Work with a cross functional team (Warranty (PSDS), Quality Operations, GEST Launch team) to provide coaching opportunities in areas of improvement.

  • Provide support from resources that can help assist in improving the process. Schedule supporting Operations SME to assist. 

  • Identify root cause, corrective action, and track issues with Task, Owner, and timing to resolution.

  • Provide coaching and training to plant teams for process and BoO related items.

  • Be the Voice of the Global Manufacturing Electrical and SDV team (formerly GEST)

  • Role requires 50% travel.

Additional Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) ​​

  • 5+ Vehicle Manufacturing Experience

  • Experience with IT systems (i.e. GSIP, GEPICS, MERS, PRTS, ECM)

  • Experience with EOL test stations

  • Experience in problem solving and issue resolution

  • Supervisor experience

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Bachelors or Associates degree

  • Overall vehicle electrical system experience

  • Automotive assembly plant operations experience.

  • GM quality systems

  • GM vehicle development process

  • Familiarity with vehicle electrical architecture (i.e., ISO 14229, Cybersecurity, Ethernet)

  • Manufacturing Engineering experience

  • Electrical Engineering experience
