We are currently seeking an Electrical Area Supervisor with 5+ years' experience in the electrical trade involving commercial/industrial electrical construction projects. Electrical Area Supervisors are an integral part of the electrical construction process. They are responsible for scheduling, monitoring, and controlling the day-to-day execution of the work, progress, and performance of the project. This role will oversee 10-15 electricians in the field and control all aspects of the Cummings site-specific safety and compliance objectives.
Responsibilities

- Train, manage and evaluate project team.
- Ability to assist Superintendent to prepare construction schedules.
- Possess required skills and experience to create layout and installation drawings.
- Effective and clear communication is essential for creation and execution of written plans and assisting in creating MOP's (Method of Procedure)
- Create, influence, and maintain short term (2-6 weeks) schedules for proper resource utilization and material usage.
- Plan and coordinate material and logistical needs of a project efficiently.
- Create & maintain daily reports, timesheets, safety, and incident reports.
- Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the client to identify and resolve any conflicts.
- Effectively track production to meet/beat labor goals.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs.
- Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standard.
- Ability to build and grow partnerships with clients for continued work.
- Build/design effective layout drawings and record drawings.
Qualifications
Working Conditions:
- Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Potty's).
- Job requires employees to have personal tools with them at all times (waist tool belt as worn weighs approximately 30 lbs).
- Work from all types of ladders (step ladders up to 14', "A" frame ladders, and all size extension ladders and carry and relocate up to 12' step ladders by oneself).
- Employee's personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1 - 250 lbs., Class 1A - 300 lbs)
- Perform work at various heights, up to 90' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areas.
- Work in restricted areas (switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics).
- Always wear personal protective equipment (hard hat and safety glasses) and a respirator when required.
- Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts.
Physical Function:
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
- Lift 51 pounds, 20 times per day.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
- Constantly moving on your feet.
- Climb ladders (all types).
- Completing overhead work for full day assignments.
- Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction, but acceptable for use.
- Possess good vision (normal or corrected).
- Possess good hearing (normal or corrected).
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions including jobsite directions, maps, and instructional manuals.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions.
Qualifications/Experience
- 5+ years of electrical construction experience, which includes leading crew size of 10-15 electricians in the Industrial/Commercial industry.
- Must be able to perform layout drawings for field installation.
- Must maintain and enforce safety policies on jobsite.
- Active Journeyman's License required.
- Proficient with the National Electrical Code.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including excel and familiarity with MS Teams and SharePoint is preferred.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam is preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Must be able to work at project jobsites throughout the DFW/North Texas as needed.
- Willingness to travel outside of DFW/North TX area a plus.Must have an active driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle report.
