As our Content Specialist, you will....
Be part of a fast-paced and agile group of fun, strategic thinkers and storytellers; developing content that feeds the demand generation engine, builds thought leadership credibility, and drives MERGE's social media presence. You will be comfortable and capable of writing quality blog-related content and crafting compelling promotional copy for social media. Everything you do is inspired by the customer, thus, understanding their pain points and drivers is key to developing content that engages, entertains, and educates. To be successful in this role, you will need to cultivate deep expertise around MERGE's services and customers.
Be Accountable and Responsible
- Fuel regular and consistent production of high-value blog content and social media posts
- Drive engagement on MERGE's social media platforms and show consistent growth around key metrics. Recognize when our target accounts engage.
- Delve deep into MERGE's practice areas through internal interviews with subject matter experts to generate content; capturing content in video format
- Go beyond surface-level information and perform deep discovery
- Practice the COPE method: Create Once, Publish Everywhere - repurposing content for use across channels
- Leverage the MERGE LinkedIn page to engage with key accounts on LinkedIn daily. Report back to the team on findings, trends, etc.
- Update weekly content landscape report; tracking industry news and competitor content. Report back to the team.
- Think multi-format and multi-channel; posting content to our website and blog, including thought leadership, case studies, surveys, ebooks, podcasts, and infographics
- Stay accountable by tracking goals. Understand the team's overarching goals and how your contributions play in.
- Manage the team's editorial and social media calendar and contribute to overall content strategy; plus organize all content into a user-friendly library
- Work with subject matter experts, talk with customers and be resourceful to ensure the content aligns with customers, community, and MERGE's POVs
- Help create a newsroom culture
These are the qualifications we are looking for
- 1-2 years of experience plus relevant education and/or equivalent experience
- A portfolio of work that makes us think, "Why didn't I think of that?"
- Ability to write, simply, and conversationally to engage, entertain, or educate
- A passion for social media and avid user of multiple platforms; specifically LinkedIn
- Ability to ask the right questions and drive discussion during the discovery phase of content development
- Solid time management and scheduling skills, well organized and detail-oriented to meet deadlines, and flexibility in working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with content management systems, Sitecore is a plus
Compensation: $46,000 - $56,000
Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience. MERGE's career ladders reflect department growth from Associate through Partner levels, with details of roles and responsibilities associated with each level. New hires are assigned a job level within a particular position based on these criteria and salary is set within the job level based on these criteria. Growth from one level to the next occurs when employees master their role, and are promoted into the next level, generally during salary review cycles which are posted in the employee handbook.
