Job Summary: The Electrical Manager will carry out the day to day operations of the electrical division. They will coordinate with the safety manager to ensure compliance and conformance in matters of safety. This position will assist in the management of our systems and employees in the field and ensuring efficient execution of field installations and trouble calls in addition to ensuring the successful maintenance of installed systems over time. The Electrical Manager is also responsible for their employee’s time as well as ensuring that the division is invoicing customers timely on a consistent basis. Proactive communication and teamwork are essential to be successful in this position.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Interacts with customers to understand their expectations and translates objectives to our project teams as well as to subcontractors and vendors
- Assists in directing and managing full scale project plans and project life-cycles after the field deployment, testing and post installation support
- Assists in overseeing, managing and coordinating complex electrical and automation system deployments
- Manages crews on large scale projects, coordinating schedule and actions
- Recommends methods, materials and layouts for improvements based upon feedback from field operations and customer requirements
- Assists in the preparation of detailed installation engineering designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates and quantity estimates for product/system deployment
- Develops RFPs and bid documents for sub-contractors and vendors and leads, coordinates and communicates contract awards
- Manages projects from start to finish
- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical circuits and equipment
- Manages crews and material to meet each phase of the construction schedule
- Attend job-site meetings, ensures crews are working safe
- Estimates time required, and materials needed to complete tasks
- Has basic computer/phone skills for use with email, purchase orders, etc.
- Participating in required QHSE and technical training as required per the position.
- Obtaining required certifications as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities and assigned.
- Perform duties in the most efficient and cost-effective manner as possible.
- Maintain, clean and care for all assigned equipment.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- 3 or more years of oilfield electrical experience
- current state journeyman certification is required
