Job Description
The EDI Administrator is a responsible clerical position, involving frequent exercise of independent judgment and initiative. This position will be based in Berlin; however, must have transportation to work in Wallingford or Meriden on some days.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the general direction of the Retail Supervisor
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- General administrative duties
- Works closely with internal Client Services and Warehouse personnel
- Communicates new Trading Partner data/information changes to warehouses
- Researches and responds to EDI related questions from clients and trading partners
- Maintains clear, concise and accurately documented communications with clients and/or Trading Partners
- Maintains current routing guides for use and communicates any changes to the routing guide with warehouses
- Monitors daily EDI transactions with available tools, performs necessary research and follows up with appropriate warehouse when applicable
- Label development
- Prepares various forms and reports
- May compile, compute, reconcile, post and check data from several sources
- Receives and sends faxes, makes copies, takes telephone calls and distributes documents as needed
- Updates manual with changes
- Maintains current routing guides for use and communicates any changes to the routing guide with warehouses
- Performs related work as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School degree and previous office experience
- Computer experience, ability to key data based on written sources
- Excellent math skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
- Read/understand/complete necessary forms and paperwork correctly and accurately
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to bend at waist and/or knees to retrieve/pick-up items
