Job Description
Woodbury wine company seeks PT Office Administrator to join our highly competent office team. We are looking for a competent and personable individual who is diligent and accustomed to applying a high degree of attention to detail; the type of person who takes great pride in his/her work and is unwilling to compromise on quality. Seeking a minimum of 25 hours/week, ideally spread over 4-5 days/week; must submit resume for consideration.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and tracking vendor purchase orders, as well as creating and processing client invoices
- Depositing checks and managing accounts receivable and accounts payables
- Processing commission payments to sales employees and assisting with inquiries from sales team, including requests for supplies and inventory questions
- Assisting with initiating and tracking incoming and outgoing shipments
- Maintaining office supplies and keeping company records updated and organized
- Communicating with clients, sales reps, and suppliers via phone and email
- Preparing and filing monthly sales and use tax returns and other compliance reports
- Providing additional administrative and accounting support as needed
Qualifications sought:
- Minimum of Associate’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- At least 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting or office administration
- Thorough understanding of QuickBooks and preferably experience with GP accounting software
- Excellent facility with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Polished and professional oral and written communication skills
- Previous experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Flexible nature and ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively
- Well-organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy
- Capable of attentive service to clients and team members
