NATURE OF WORK:
Performs professional project management and business outreach activities as directed by the Economic Development Department. This position will serve as the principal professional and technical individual with the Economic Development Department conducting research and development for activities and operations involving Economic Development, redevelopment, land development, permitting, and business development. This position serves as a project manager and liaison to the City of Orlando and Metro Orlando business community. The Economic Development Coordinator is responsible for directing and coordinating special projects/programs and implementing business and Economic Development programs with owners/developers, attorneys, engineers, governmental agencies, and the general public. The position responds to citizen/business complaints, investigates and proposes solutions, and makes recommendations for implementation.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field required and a minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of urban planning experience required: or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License is required.
