DME (Durable Medical Equipment) Customer Service
Description of Responsibilities:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing Customer Services to patients referred to the Medical Supplies.

Scope of Supervision
Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include the following:
1. Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
2. Represent the pharmacy and Medical Supplies in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients.
3. Route patient referrals to the appropriate department or individual(s) in the pharmacy.
4. Communicate patient information necessary to schedule home medical equipment services.
5. Determine correct resolution to patient complaints; take corrective action, and monitor results.
6. Prepare and secure Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMNs).
7. Establish and maintain patient records.
8. Communicate with billing department to ensure proper billing to insurance companies, contracts, other third party payers and patients for all products and services delivered; maintain accurate billing records.
9. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
10. Participate in the pharmacy’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
11. Participate in pharmacy committees when requested.
12. Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
2. Experience in Customer Service.
3. Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.
4. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
5. Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
