**SHIFT/SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm**
Starting pay is from $17.00 an hour and based on experience.
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate that is eager to learn and grow within our company. We thrive in a fast-paced environment, filling the orders of clients and hospitals in order to meet the needs of patients and impact lives.
In your role as a Distribution Coordinator, you will utilize customer service skills and computer skills to communicate with distributors and buyers. Coordinators will receive, process, monitor, and track orders utilizing company tools and software applications. Duties also include finished goods tissue transfers, quality checks, and inventory control. This unique position allows for employees to switch between a desk environment and an active on-the-floor role.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Communicate with customers regarding orders and inquiries via email and phone.
- Accurately pick customer orders according to product code, lot number, quantity, expiration and other requirements as requested by the customer. Report any discrepancies, visual defects, and/or damages to the Lead, Supervisor, or Customer Service and Distribution Manager (CSDM).
- Perform Quality Checks (QC) to ensure accuracy of tissue being shipped.
- Perform tissue release function by moving finished goods between buildings and properly rotate stock accordingly to First Expiring First Out (FEFO) method.
- Assist in maintaining and managing distributable inventory.
- Ship allograft tissue to the appropriate destination.
- Manage and maintain appropriate storage of tissue.
- Perform inventory audits at set time periods.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Address customer inquiries regarding product availability, shipment status, and other general questions as requested.
- Collaborates with other departments in establishing and carrying out responsibilities.
- Work with transportation carriers to coordinate pick-up and delivery activities.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum 1-year work experience in customer service, distribution, or inventory control required.
- The preferred candidate will have prior experience with allograft tissue or similar background and have familiarity with distribution/customer service.
- Strong administrative, typing, and clerical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Prefer knowledge and understanding of Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) regulations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
- Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Duties may include physical effort; including the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., bending, squatting, reaching, or being on feet for long periods of time.
