Dispatcher

Job Summary

The Dispatcher is responsible for tracking inbound & outbound freight and maintains fleet performance and inventory records.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Monitors & records all inbound and outbound freight weights & properly updates status board.
• Inputs all fleet related data and generates required reports.
• Responsible for performing all lab analysis; inputs and records all data for corporate office.
• Maintains lab consumables and equipment; keeps lab area clean.
• Performs plant office functions and assumes responsibilities of Office Manager in his/her absence.
• Responsible for answering and dispatching all incoming office telephone calls.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year prior experience in an office, lab, and/or transportation environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
• Good computer skills.
• Good communication skills; able to follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 25 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in a plant and office environment which requires tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures.
