Reporting to the Vice Pres Ancillary & Support Services, Executive Management, this position is accountable for the general management of the pharmacy, contributing to cost effectiveness of the Medical Center. Working within the strategic plan for the hospital, the incumbent provides support and direction for the assigned functions. The incumbent contributes to the effective and efficient operations in support of high quality, cost effective patient care in line with the organization's mission. The incumbent also demonstrates skills to establish realistic and accountable operating and strategic performance targets and monitors progress over time, holding appropriate parties accountable for desired outcomes. As the Pharmacist in Charge, this position is directly responsible for Pharmacy Department operations, including operating budget, strategic development of the service, daily supervision and coordination. All competencies and evaluations are signed off by the incumbent in this position.
1. Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
2. Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of California is required. Clinical professionals currently licensed outside the State of California will be provided six (6) months from date of hire to obtain equivalent California state licensure.
3. Five (5) years of experience in a leadership role in management or administration is preferred.
4. Business acumen, strategic planning, organizational assessment, and highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills are required.
Pay Range ($89.28 - $133.92)
