Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of our hotel property. As a key member of our leadership team, the Director of Operations will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to all departments within the hotel, including but not limited to front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and administration.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction, employee productivity, and overall efficiency.
- Monitor key performance metrics, such as occupancy rates, revenue per available room (RevPAR), guest satisfaction scores, and operational expenses, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and execute annual operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and revenue optimization strategies.
- Foster a culture of exceptional guest service and employee engagement through effective communication, training, and recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with all Marriott brand standards, corporate policies, and local regulations.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of managers and staff, providing coaching, feedback, and opportunities for professional development.
- Cultivate positive relationships with guests, vendors, and partners to drive repeat business and enhance the hotel's reputation in the community.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive developments, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in hotel operations, with at least 2 years in a director-level role.
- Proven track record of achieving operational excellence, financial targets, and guest satisfaction goals.
- Strong understanding of hotel revenue management, sales and marketing strategies, and cost control principles.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in hotel management software systems (e.g., Opera, Marriott systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in hospitality management (e.g., CHA, CMP) is a plus.
