The Blue Point Brewing Company operations director is responsible for the Brewing, Packaging, Maintenance, and Warehouse departments at the Patchogue brewery. The Ops Director will create and foster a safe working environment for all employees and lead by example when maintaining safety best practices. The Ops Director is responsible for the P&L of the production facility and will lead the team by developing key metrics to measure success and hold the team accountable for achieving those goals. With a consumer first mindset this person will protect the quality of our brands while finding ways to improve profitability at the Blue Point Brewing Company
Salary:USD $110-$130k annual + Bonus, salary will be based on your experience.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute the breweries strategic plan to meet company wide goals
- Support the Environment, Health, and Safety team to ensure employees are working safely and the facility is in compliance with all industry standards
- Create a culture of Safety, quality, continuous improvement, and profitability.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the BluePoint brewery and all Tilray Beer brands
- Set department goals and hold the teams accountable for accomplishing those goals
- Identify process gaps and proactively look to close those gaps with autonomy while keeping long term strategic goals in mind
- Manage all personnel in the brewery and hold teams accountable
- Develop a capital plan for the site and ensure the execution of approved projects
- Communicate cross functionally within the organization to support the BluePoint operations team and identify the proper resources needed
- Ensure proper training and onboarding for all employees
- Perform evaluations of employees to ensure quality of work
- Maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed
- Interface with logistics and sales teams to communicate progress, hurdles, and opportunities
- Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol
Your Experience
- 10+ years relevant experience in manufacturing
- Experience in the brewing industry preferred
- Previous experience leading teams and creating key performance metrics required
- General knowledge of manufacturing best practices
- Ability to create a positive local culture among the team through changing priorities and goals
- Safety and consumer focused mind set
- Self-driven and comfortable working autonomously
- Experienced with developing and executing a manufacturing strategy
