GENERAL DESCRIPTION
OrthoNY is looking for an Operations Senior Director to support our fast paced and growing practice. The Senior Director of Operations plays a pivotal role in overseeing the functioning of all operational aspects within OrthoNY. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic planning and a deep understanding of the orthopedic healthcare industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Provide direct oversight and leadership to the regional site manager team and act as a liaison to our outsourced call center;
- Develop and foster effective collaboration between departments, providers and regions to ensure an integrated approach to providing services and fulfilling practice objectives;
- Maintain oversight of ancillary services for the purpose of providing excellent service and maximizing profitability;
- Process Improvement:
- Assess and implement the actions and processes which improve patient outcomes, expand access and expand services.
- Align the organization to shared vision and interpretation of patient-focused quality care
- Ensure optimal service delivery and quality outcomes
- Handle elevated patient complaints for practice locations and/or any complex patient/practice follow-up that may be required;
- Oversee facility maintenance and safety issues for all locations;
- Collaborate with leadership team on projects as needed;
- Other responsibilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the essential functions:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced/clinical degree a plus;
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in healthcare management with progressive operational experience;
- Demonstrated track record in leading and delegating a team with accountability and successful achievement of superior patient care, operations, and financial results;
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills;
- Proven ability to write policies and procedures;
- Proficient in MS Office required;
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
OTHER INFORMATION
- This position requires more than 40 hours a week including routine meetings after regular business hours.
- This position requires periodic travel to and between practice locations and related companies, as needed and required.
