DEL-AIR Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration, Inc. is a growing industry leader with seven locations serving Central Florida - Clermont, Davenport, Tampa, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Sanford (headquarters), and Sarasota.
Primary Responsibilities: The Director, Business Apps & Projects will be responsible for understanding the goals and the interdependencies of functional departments and groups and leading large-scale complex IT projects in addressing overall business needs. Key responsibilities include project oversight, vendor management, IT budget management, governance & compliance, and IT strategic planning.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
· Supports CIO in day-to-today operations of the IT department, including managing a team of IT professionals and ensuring that all IT systems and processes are running smoothly.
· Collaborates with internal stakeholders to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the information systems and technology.
· Responsible for supervising and maintaining the organization’s repository of software applications through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team.
· Acts as liaison with Information Technology and/or outside vendors to support relevant systems.
· Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
· Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
· Liaise with network administrators and software engineers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing.
· Evaluate new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise.
· Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.
· Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
· Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
· Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings.
· Maintains current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices through industry and other professional networks.
· Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
· Ensure compliance with all Del-Air policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Identify, engage, and manage outside partners/vendors to provide services in support of operations of systems and technology services, and for projects for technology initiatives and in support of business processes.
· Lead, manage and provide guidance for programming efforts of both internal staff and 3rd party programming services.
· Supervise a team of Analysts and other technical staff who support implementations and solutions for the business.

Qualifications:
· B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Microsoft heavy technology environment, including 2-3 years of practical professional experience in project management.
· Strong Leadership Skillset.
· Experienced in Leading ERP support and implementations or at least one full enterprise ERP upgrade.
· Experience with process improvement projects.
· Proficiency with Power BI and other reporting tools desired.
· Experienced with designing, implementing, and maintaining SharePoint environments.
· Fundamental understanding of web-based systems programming and development.
· Proficient with MS Project or similar software and MS Office applications
· Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, management, and others outside the organization.
· Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams.
· Proven history of successful large-scale reporting solution implementations.
· Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
· Eligible to legally work in the United States.
