This position is based in Denver or Boulder - must be a resident of Colorado to be considered for the position. We offer a flexible schedule between working from home and two days in the office.
Director of HR Overview
Our Director of Human Resources provides strategic and operational support to drive talent management, organizational development, and workforce planning initiatives. The Director of HR is responsible for supporting and guiding all aspects of customary HR functions and programs in a way that advances Namaste Solar's Mission and Core Values.
The Director supports the HR team and reports to the CFO, who supports all Internal Services teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance and support to the leadership team regarding Human Resources matters. Develop and implement HR strategies and policies to advance business goals in alignment with the organization's culture, Mission and Core Values.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of HRIS systems to streamline HR processes and enhance data analytics capabilities. Utilize HRIS data to generate insights and inform workforce planning, talent management, and employee engagement decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies and mitigate HRrelated risks through effective communication, training, manager coaching, and proactive measures.
- Establish and maintain effective employee engagement programs to foster a positive work environment and promote employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention.
- Provide assistance, support, and advice on various HRrelated issues and needs that arise. This includes collaborating with leaders and legal counsel on employee relations issues including investigating, mentoring, advising, and reporting when necessary.
- Support and guide the human resource team in administering programs, including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, recognition, training and development, company events, and internal communications.
- Facilitate training, coaching, and support with business leaders in employee development and performance management. Design and direct learning and development efforts company-wide.
- Develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits strategies to attract and retain top talent. Conduct regular benchmarking surveys. Partner with leaders on key annual processes such as annual budgeting and human capital forecasting, talent assessment & development, and compensation review.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging HR technologies and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function.
- Oversee recruitment with an emphasis on workforce development and increasing diverse representation.
What You Offer:
- Minimum of five year's experience in HR strategy and operations, including experience in a leadership role.
- Experience coaching and managing a team
- Advocate for justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI)
- Able to lead discussions, influence and negotiate, and effectively engage and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and training sessions
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- Experience supporting a Safety Team
- Selection and implementation of HRIS platform

We ensure equal pay for equal work and value diversity and belonging. While compensation offers will ultimately be based on the candidate's skills and experiences, the range you can expect for this position is $95,000 to $110,000.

This is why we have a flexible work schedule working two days per week from either our Boulder or Denver, CO offices.
