Role Description
The Director of Business Development and Marketing leads Nest Collaborative’s strategic growth initiatives encompassing partnerships, strategic alliances, and Marketing, spearheading Nest’s scaling initiatives and focusing on increasing the visibility, accessibility, and profitability of our telehealth services.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Recruit and lead a team of skilled growth marketers, sales, and partner relationship professionals to drive growth strategy, campaign ideation, execution, and analysis, continually raising the bar on technical and analytical skills
- Assist in the hiring process of Business Development and Marketing employees, ensuring cultural alignment and position qualification of each potential employee
- Provide performance reviews of all staff, ensuring performance reviews align, and adequately identify areas of strength and areas for improvement
- Develop and execute comprehensive growth and Marketing strategies to expand Nest’s services on a national scale (in collaboration with the CEO)
- Develop and implement metrics to determine Business Development and Marketing goals and utilize these key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report success of department initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing, sales, operations, and product development efforts with growth objectives
- Identify and tap into new market opportunities, and customize outreach and services to cater to diverse populations
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other relevant stakeholders to increase referrals and service accessibility in alignment with company goals and objectives
- Oversee market research to identify potential areas for expansion and understand the competitive landscape in prenatal and postnatal care services
- Leverage digital marketing strategies, including SEO, content marketing, social media, and email marketing, to increase brand recognition and attract new clients
- Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and other relevant forums
- Fully own both implementation and project management (including identifying and shepherding resources to ensure partnership success) of new partnerships, ensuring all new clients are implemented within a specific time frame
- Other duties as assigned or delegated by the CEO
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required, MBA strongly preferred
- 5 years of Growth Marketing, leading both SEO and Performance Marketing at both B2C and B2B companies, with a minimum of three years experience building partnerships with Health Systems, Hospitals and Practice Groups
- Demonstrated experience in scaling services, preferably within the maternal and child health care space
- Experience consistently securing multi-year, multi-million-dollar contracts with Managed Care/Payor organizations, including contract knowledge management
- Experience selling risk deals for members to payers

- Deep understanding of the lactation consulting industry, including awareness of issues and trends affecting new parents, preferred
- Strong financial acumen
- Operate with a data-driven mindset to drive results
- Proficient in Google Suite or similar software
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Robust relationship-building skills, capable of fostering cooperation across diverse teams
- Solid project management skills, and ability to refine complex processes
- Empathy and strong listening skills, to understand and address staff needs
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Able to travel as needed.
- Annual salary range: $125,000 - 135,000 per year, based on experience
- 27 days off per year. This includes 12 holidays per year, plus 15 days of PTO per year (this increases to 20 days of PTO per year after 1st anniversary with the company)
