Job Description
Fluidra’s seeking a Director of Accounting to join our North America team. This role is remote and will support a team based in Southern California.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
This position will play a leading role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process including reviewing journal entries, preparing month-over-month comparisons of the financials, reviewing monthly reporting packages, reviewing account reconciliations, and coordinating the audit. Additionally, you will:
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Review journal entries and other accounting transactions and ensure that financial statements are GAAP/IFRS compliant
- Review account reconciliations
- Prepare month-over-month comparisons of the financials, explaining movements from prior month and the monthly forecast
- Interface with other departments and business units to obtain information required for accounting analysis and process improvements
- Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
- Review the monthly reporting packages and corresponding tie-outs for various entities
- Coordinate the external audit and oversee the timely completion of internal and external audit requests
- Review supplier setups and capital request forms
- Coach, develop, and train the senior and staff accountants
- Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Manage other special projects and perform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE SEEK
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, general accounting processes and internal controls, and financial analysis tools and techniques
- Proficiency with Excel formulas and pivot tables
- Experience with top tier ERP and related reporting applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Must have the ability to think and work independently and possess excellent time management skills in order to meet goals and deadlines.
- Ability to effectively respond to and interact with multiple levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations is essential.
- Working knowledge of Oracle ERP and Hyperion/HFM is preferred. Strong spreadsheet skills using Excel is required.
- Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree (accounting, business, or finance major preferred)
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License Required

Expected salary range is $155,000 - $175,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
