We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director - Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Atrium Health, now a part of Advocate Health, to support the Greater Charlotte Market in the Southeast region. Reporting to the AVP - HRBP, you will be a key player in driving business objectives by acting as a trusted advisor to Vice Presidents and AVPs on human resource strategy that will enable leaders to lead their teams to achieve business results. As a consultant to leaders, you will leverage your solid grounding in HR programs and practices, ensuring a deep understanding of the business unit's financial position, long-range plans, culture, competition, and customers. This position is a remote position but requires candidates to live in one of the following states: AL, CO, FL, GA, ID, KS, KY, ME, MI, NC, SC, VA, VT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders as a dedicated HR consultant, aligning HR services with organizational expectations and culture, effectively translating the brand into HR service delivery.
- Guide both short and long-term decisions within the business unit, employing workforce planning and development knowledge, along with sound succession planning processes and programs.
- Research and develop creative solutions to meet business objectives, utilizing your expertise in HR and business strategies.
- Provide effective performance management guidance to drive business results, coach leaders, and integrate cultural standards into practices and processes.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of policies, procedures, and legal requirements, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
- Design and deliver broad learning initiatives to build leadership capability in alignment with key HR priorities and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field; SHRM-CP, -SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a senior-level HR professional with progressive responsibilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in organizational strategy, development consulting, and complex employee relations.
- Experience in a complex healthcare organization is a plus.
- 3 years of management experience in strategic planning, directing, and leading comprehensive HR functions.

- Proven consulting skills and ability to implement organizational strategies for complex business challenges.
- Expertise in multiple HR disciplines and business practices, including compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee/union relations, diversity, performance management, regulatory compliance, and employment laws.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data and recommend appropriate actions aligned with the people strategy.
- Self-directed, self-motivated, flexible, with the ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Work requires typing, filing, use of telephone and sitting for prolonged periods of time. Stretching, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling are required a moderate amount of the time. May lift and carry up to 40 pounds on an intermittent basis. Some standing and walking is required. Must speak and understand English fluently. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate and concentrate effectively. Good hearing is required for related communications.
