Job brief
We are seeking a qualified Digital Product Development Manager to join our team. You will lead a talented team of professionals to develop cutting-edge digital solutions that revolutionize the oil and gas industry, including oversite program development for PLC programming, HMIs, Data Acquisition, and Advanced analytics. Projects are in the intervention and stimulation space, specifically focusing on Frac and Frac Operations. NOV is focused on enhancing the efficiency of our products through automation and optimization. We believe in providing the best solution to reduce emissions, creating safer operations for our customers, and providing a better industry experience.
Working closely with our new Product Development team and controls development team, you will lead initiatives to enhance our product performance through optimization, automation, and new hardware solutions. This key role will be pivotal in positioning our company to bring influential products to market.
Additionally, this role will oversee product enhancements to legacy products, which will involve frequent interactions between sustaining engineering and our controls group.
We want you to be a tech-savvy professional with an in-depth understanding of project management and digital development for this position. You should be methodical and have excellent time management skills. As a Digital Product Development Manager, you should also use your communication skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.
Ultimately, you should be able to manage and deliver your projects' digital lifecycle within quality, time, and budget requirements.
Responsibilities
Develop a road map and execute plans to deliver enhanced products to the market
Develop a detailed project plan and monitor progress
Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop, and implement digital projects
Develop and manage key relationships with external vendors and stakeholders
Deliver projects on time, ensuring quality standards are met
Develop support documentation and communicate needs to all parties
Monitor and report on project progress, challenges, risks, and opportunities
Communicate with the team and ensure all members are on board with delegated tasks
Highlight potential risks or malfunctions and act proactively to resolve issues
Seek opportunities for improvement and suggest new projects
Requirements and skills
Minimum of 4 years of work experience with a degree or 8+ years of related work experience
Proven work experience as a Program manager highly desired
Hands-on experience with project management software, like MS Project and Jira
Solid technical background with an ability to address accessibility and compatibility issues
Excellent organization and time management skills
Communication and team management skills
BSc in Computer Science, Controls development, or relevant field
(Preferred) AI and complex modeling experience
Travel up to (25%) Domestic and International
