Job Description:
Advance the way you live and work at HPE.
Who We Are:
A career in the OCTO HPE team allows you to create history and push the industry forward, redefining the state of the art in what cloud computing means. Come and help us build a large-scale, enterprise-ready platform powering a hybrid edge-to-cloud world. Our platform allows some of the world's largest, most diverse enterprises to deliver with speed, agility, and scale - while keeping their data where it needs to be and ensuring their sustainability and green goals are met and exceeded.
Our team members search beyond customers' needs today to accelerate what's next and make a difference - for others, our company, and the planet. Our customers turn to us because we are positive, empathetic, and enterprising. Nowhere is this better reflected than in our running in production with over 100,000 dedicated customers and over 2 million devices.
We embrace opportunities to accelerate transformation across data, connectivity, cloud, and security. From vital solutions for small businesses with a single storefront to essential applications for large retail chains with thousands of locations. Together we make what was once thought impossible, possible.
The product management team develops and manages the strategy, vision, and roadmap for the GreenLake Platform. In addition, the team prioritizes and supports customer-facing HPE products and their vast number of use cases. The team makes data-focused choices while delving into rich data and metrics and collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, user experience, documentation, program management, and marketing teams, to drive the platform functionality from concept to customer adoption.
The HPE GreenLake Platform team is looking for a seasoned Product Manager passionate about creating amazing partner experiences on the platform. HPE GreenLake's mission is to bring the cloud experience everywhere: to the edge, the data center, or a colocation facility. Getting there takes more than building great as-a-Service offerings to run customers' workloads. It takes attention to the customer's journey from trials to onboarding to consuming services, billing, and upgrading.
What you'll do:
The Sr. Product Manager will work with teams from various functions, primarily with the ones overseeing partner strategy within HPE, to create a GreenLake Platform's partner customer experience across this lifecycle. You'll exemplify the HPE beliefs of Courage Over Comfort and Push for Better, not accepting that something that worked for years is good enough to move HPE GreenLake forward.
Your work will help shape the partner experience delivered in the new HPE GreenLake Platform and beyond. You will play a broad role, including inbound tasks (defining strategic requirements, working with BU Product Managers to design features, prioritizing roadmap items, etc.) and outbound ones (creating marketing collateral, socializing product vision, enabling go-to-market teams, and the like).

  • Able to manage leads and drive the end-to-end strategy and operational product roadmap for the partner strategy and enablement on the GreenLake Platform on their own.
  • Develop a true partner persona-based experience for the channel (Tier1/2 Distributors, Resellers), Managed Service Provider (MSP), Service Providers, System Integrators (Global and Regional), and ISV partners. Work with the partner community within and outside HPE and channel managers to gather requirements and work with UX and Engineering teams to drive it forward.
  • Integrate GreenLake products and services into the Partner's Marketplace and link the Partner Marketplace to our Platform.
  • Develop an API-focused approach for partner billing/invoicing, ordering/quoting, and other facets of the quote-to-cash lifecycle.
  • Builds and delivers the value proposition, target customer segments, and business case to bring innovative and disruptive products to the market.
  • Own product roadmap and manage the backlog through constant prioritization. Manage product management requirements coming from various cross-functional teams
  • Have a strong bias for action, outcome-based approach, and move quickly after seeking alignment across stakeholders
  • Write Product Requirement Documents (PRD) and participate in technical design discussions impacting Platform capabilities.
  • Communicate goals, plans, challenges, and progress to all stakeholders. This must be done regularly, clearly, and proactively.
  • Creates and drives goal alignment and collaborates across one or more products' value chain partners to optimize margins and enable the success of products per plans across the product lifecycle. (i.e., Engineering: product development; Supply Chain: SKUs, inventory; Marketing: marketing and pricing strategies, and go-to-market plan).

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of work experience in product management or similar experience at a technology company.
  • Having strong experience in building/developing/managing a partner program.
  • Strong understanding of partners' (VAR, SI, Distributors, ISV) operational models.
  • Experienced with Agile methodology, backlog planning, and product management processes. Proven track record in program execution to bringing a product from concept to the market and delivering measurable results.
  • Extensive team skills, ability to cross-functionally drive/influence work through others, and ability to mentor and oversee teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.
  • Extensive skills in cost-efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation, and analysis.
  • Extensive business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
  • Good at partnering, innovating, and making things happen - delivering impact with velocity.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate those skills into creative solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • What we'd prefer you bring:
  • Master's or advanced degree in computer science or engineering.
  • Previous professional experience at a partner, such as VAR, SI, or Distributor.
  • Experience building out a partner API program.
  • Experience in strategizing and launching a partner experience program.
