Job Summary
We are looking for an extremely organized and creative Content Marketing Manager to help us scale our growing content marketing engine. We need help pushing our organic/SEO content into overdrive. With an unwavering commitment to detail and strategy—and an ability to juggle multiple projects and shifting priorities—you thrive by working collaboratively and cross-functionally to ensure that high-quality content drives leads, builds our brand, and engages those we serve.
Main Responsibilities:
Content creation & strategy:
- You can synthesize, coordinate, and assign content across numerous channels, including (but not limited to) marketing collateral (one-pagers, eBooks, blogs, etc.), email, paid digital ads, social media, direct response (landing pages, ads, sales collateral), and website/product copy
- You have a proven track record with SEO, including keyword research, page optimization, and identifying new content opportunities
- You will meet with clients to assess their content needs and develop a thorough understanding of their business and service/product offerings
- You will conduct content audits for clients as needed
- You will review all written content within your department to ensure content is consistent with our brand voice, advances our position in the industry, and balances brand, quality, customer needs, and acquisition efforts
- You have impeccable research skills, know how to find primary sources, pay attention to detail, and have strong editorial awareness and judgment
Project management:
- You will help measure and report on the impact of content and gather insights that will help optimize content; Toward that end, coordinate with SEO team to monitor and report on all web content performance for active clients to measure the performance of content we have written within the search engines and share those statistics by the end of every month with the appropriate Project Manager.
- You are able to prioritize multiple projects on fast-moving schedules and adept at quickly adjusting to last-minute requests or changing timelines/priorities with flexibility and good humor
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and can build a plan, execute on next steps, or delegate to the appropriate stakeholders that can
Requirements:
- At least 4-6+ years of experience copywriting or creating content marketing collateral
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Journalism, English, Finance, etc.
- Professional background in Marketing, Content, SEO
- A self-starter with an ability to own projects and work independently
- Strong writing skills with examples of work
Preferred
- Certifications in SEO, digital marketing, etc.
- Direct market research experience
