Job Summary
Clarkson is looking for creative and strategic social media manager who is passionate about driving engagement and expanding brand awareness. The Social Media Manager will develop and implement strategies to increase visibility, ideally benefiting both client acquisition and case origination, by designing, filming, editing, and distributing short-form content on digital platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Identify/clarify appropriate social media platforms to use in the promotion of Clarkson’s services and brand
· Consult with attorneys and staff to brainstorm, understand, and strategize regular content opportunities (case successes, new practice areas, legal trends, client empowerment and legal education, social impact events, etc.)
· Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our company's marketing goals and objectives
· Monitor, analyze, and report on competitors' social media activity to adjust our strategy accordingly
· Routinely consult with partners, attorneys, and staff to stay up-to-date on content opportunities and gather feedback on content drafts
· Create and curate engaging content for our social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
· Monitor and respond to inquiries, comments, and messages across all social media platforms
· Strategically engage with related legal and other industry accounts to drive digital traffic and brand awareness
· Analyze social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly
· Develop social media advertising strategy and advise on goal-aligned budget
· Prepare and execute social media advertisement strategies through Facebook ads; analyze and monitor campaign success
· Collaborate with other marketing professionals to create and execute integrated campaigns
· Stay up-to-date with social media industry trends and routinely update Clarkson’s strategy to incorporate new/emerging best practices
· Manage relationships with influencers, clients, and organizational partners to drive engagement and awareness
· Report campaign results to management, addressing any questions or concerns
· Develop and maintains positive business relationships with staff
· Assist in designing, sourcing, and ordering company merchandise
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and social media marketing
· Knowledge of social media and HTML
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills
· Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail
· Ability to conduct and correctly interpret research and web analytics
· Ability to implement marketing plans
· Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
· Strong knowledge of Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator
· Creative spirit and forward-thinking attitude
· Knowledge of and familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT
· Collaborate with and coordinate communication among Legal, Impact, HR, and other departments to complete projects
· Maintain knowledge of online marketing opportunities and trends, web analytics, and SEO techniques
· Assist with development of Clarkson’s website to ensure efficiency and relevance
· Analyze existing website traffic and internet activity related to Clarkson’s services
· Develops innovative strategies to attract customers to the company’s brand through various web-based marketing programs and search engine optimization (SEO) techniques.
· Oversees the implementation of online marketing plans; compiles and analyzes data to measure the effectiveness of such plans.
· Identifies and recommends improvements and modifications to existing programs and additional or new marketing strategies and opportunities.
Education and Experience:
· At least 3 years of experience in social media management
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field[CCT2]
· Strong portfolio of design work and data-illustrated success with social media management
· Experience in managing social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Experience in creating engaging content and campaigns that drive engagement and brand awareness
· Familiarity with social media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Knowledge of the design industry
