We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer who will enhance our ability to be technologically proficient as we continue our growth as a leading investment advisory firm.
The best candidate will help us embrace technology, be an excellent problem solver, and have strong communication skills to make sure employees have the support they need to be successful.
We are a fast-growing company in a rapidly changing industry. The Desktop Support Engineer should expect to work in-person at our Seattle office location Monday through Friday each week, supporting all Freestone locations - Seattle, San Francisco Area (2), Santa Barbara and Anchorage.  Light travel is required.
Job Responsibilities
 
  • Provide Desktop Support excellence for both in-office and work-from-home employees, navigating complexities associated with both Freestone and non-Freestone technology
  • Work with our outsourced technology vendor to maintain Freestone’s network
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot IT related questions from users including but not limited to analyzing the problem, identifying the appropriate resources, testing proposed fixes, and following up to ensure the problem has been resolved
  • Install and test technology equipment where necessary
  • Maintain our internal inventory of related IT equipment and software
  • Acquire a knowledge of organizational policies and standards to provide technically accurate solutions to users, as well as compliant implementations of new technology
  • Evaluate and escalate any system or network outage in the event of system downtime or issues
  • Assist with issues related to teleconferencing systems and AV presentation equipment
  • Support the testing and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity processes and events
  • Lead or support new technological enhancement or renovation projects
  • Must be physically able to lift and carry computers and other related equipment of up to 50+lbs

Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field
  • 4-6 years’ experience in an IT technician capacity at a medium to large organization
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, with strong skills in multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Knowledge writing documentation or standard operating procedures related to IT operations and support
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical staff
  • Technical proficiency with:
    • Desktop Support (PC)
    • Mobile Devices (iOS, Android, Windows)
    • Office365
    • Active Directory
    • Familiar with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
    • Familiar with hosted solutions (Azure/AWS)
    • PowerShell, Autopilot, Windows Deployment Server
    • Group Policy and Microsoft Intune
    • Anti-Virus Software and solutions
    • Backup System Solutions
  • Optional technical proficiencies with:
    • SharePoint
    • Power Bi
    • SQL
    • Phone systems

The expected annual base salary for this position is $80,000 – $125,000, dependent upon years of direct experience. The position may also be available to receive a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance. Our compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, group life, disability, long-term care, and accidental death insurance, ten (10) scheduled paid holidays per year, and 17 days of vacation per year.
