Dental Receptionist

We are looking for a front desk receptionist for our single doctor dental practice nestled in the heart of Concord, NC. You will be the first face to greet our patients, so a friendly personality and compassion is needed. We need someone to support our office manager by handling patient interaction and keeping our schedule running smoothly.

We are a small team of passionate and hard-working professionals with a healthy home/office balance; we created a schedule to help us achieve this balance, with early mornings allowing for early afternoons, with long weekends in between. We love our jobs, our doctor, and our office! No drama allowed!

Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Schedule and confirm appointments for dental procedures
- Answer phone calls, emails and messages from communication platform and responding to patient inquiries
- Manage patient records and update medical information in the system
- Verify insurance coverage, complete detailed benefit breakdowns and process insurance claims
- Present patient treatment plans, coordinate appointments and handle financial arrangements
- Follow up with unscheduled treatment, overdue recalls and competently fill gaps in the schedule to maintain steady production flow.
- Collect payments and provide patients with billing information
- Check-out patients and collect payments, schedule additional appointments
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area

Experience:
- At least 1 year of dental office front desk experience required.
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft preferred
- Knowledge of dental records management and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Hours are 7am-3pm 4 days a week, Tuesday-Thursday with alternating Mondays and Fridays.
