Dental Receptionist/Front Office Assistant

Viva Dental in Burlington, NC is looking for a dependable front office receptionist; someone who is available to start asap. The practice has just been acquired from a long time practice in Burlington. The ideal employee we are seeking is one that can handle changes and can assist in the transition of the practice. This position is full-time and will lead to a management position. Once the transition is complete and the office is running full time hours, the following responsibilities would include:

Tasks:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Verify and update patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Collect and process payments from patients for dental services
- Assist with insurance verification and claims processing
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients and visitors

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Dentrix
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical administrative support duties

Pay: $18.11 - $21.80 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
