Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the dental office's phone system
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information for billing purposes
- Assist with patient registration and update patient records as needed
- Provide information to patients regarding dental procedures, treatments, and fees
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using phone systems and computer software for scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
This position requires a high level of customer service skills as you will be the first point of contact for patients. The ability to handle phone calls, schedule appointments, and provide accurate information is crucial to the success of the dental office. Additionally, having knowledge of emergency procedures (ER) is important in case any urgent situations arise.
