SalaryFast paced, growing dental office seeking a Dental Receptionist to join our team. A qualified candidate must possess a high level of attention to detail, have exceptional communication and time management skills. Front desk experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
We are looking for someone with a warm, friendly demeanor who has the ability to establish positive relationships with patients and staff. Phone etiquette, time management, and organization skills are a must! Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs required.
This is a full time position with benefits. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Office hours are Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 1pm.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting patients.
- Check in/check out patients accurately.
- Ensure that procedure codes are entered accurately.
- Answer the phones in a courteous, timely manner.
- Schedule patient procedures, routine visits, and handle referrals to specialists.
- Maintain patient accounts by verifying insurance benefits and coverage.
- Collect patient co-pays and balances due, answer billing questions
- Update/handle patient personal information according to office and HIPAA protocol.
