SalaryExercising tact, initiative and independent judgment, using approved General Dentistry policies to establish financial accounts for patients with complex, comprehensive treatment plans and communicates directly to patients and clinical supervisor.
Working with Billing team:
Daily check all patients scheduled for the next day and identify:
· Procedures approved by preauthorization’s(priors)for government insurances and by pre-determination by commercial insurances.
· If insurance coverage is active for both commercial and state sponsored insurances
· Identify procedures that are only partially covered by insurances and or not covered at all and if so check if Waivers and other financial agreements are written and signed or need to be to be signed.
· If treatment plans are signed by patients and faculty.
· Calling/texting patients for appointment confirmation, informing about insurance issues/coverage, need for waivers/financial agreements and balance due reminders.
Working with Dental front desk staff:
· Notify front desk staff if there are any concerns prior to the patient’s arrival
· Working with daily screener, have an updated spreadsheet of all scheduled appointments with clear notification if something needs to be done prior to or when checking in the patient.
· Be cross trained with individual performing preauthorization and predetermination of insurances
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.89 - $25.51 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
