Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for medical or dental procedures
- Manage and maintain appointment calendars for healthcare providers
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient information into scheduling system
- Communicate with patients to confirm appointments and provide necessary instructions
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize scheduling efficiency
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries related to appointment scheduling
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and dental receptionist duties
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to handle sensitive patient information
- Experience working in an office or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with scheduling software such as Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
