Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical charts
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Greet and assist patients with their inquiries
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or dental setting
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care
- Proficiency in using dental office systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Knowledge of medical records management and scheduling procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry
