Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing administrative tasks. The Dental Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming environment for patients.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive experience from their arrival to departure.
-Schedule and confirm appointments, taking into consideration dentist availability and patient preferences.
-Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information to patients regarding services, insurance coverage, and billing queries.
- Collect and update patient information in electronic health and dental records in Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients in understanding their benefits and financial responsibilities.
- Process and maintain patient files, including medical history, treatment plans, and consent forms.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow, managing waiting times, and addressing scheduling conflicts.
- Manage payment transactions, including processing insurance claims and collecting copayments or outstanding balances.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in dental office administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar customer service role.
- Proficient in using dental practice management software and electronic health records systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail for managing appointments, paperwork, and patient records.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and empathetic demeanor, with the ability to handle sensitive patient situations with confidentiality and care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.42 per hour
