Position Description
Position Title: Receptionist
Reports To: Front Desk Manager and shift supervisor
Work Schedule: Shifts are usually 4 to 6 hours in duration
1) Monday-Wednesday-Friday with a weekend shift
2) Tuesday-Thursday with a weekend shift
Job Type: Part-time max of 28 hours per week
Position Purpose: The Receptionist is the first and last person our members and guests see. In this position you are responsible for checking in members, answering all phone calls, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. The receptionist also handles all member and guest questions and concerns, as well as setting up guests with the proper sales associate.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Enthusiastically greets each members and guests promptly using the proper greeting for time of day to create a friendly positive entrance and departure to and from the gym.
- Personally checks each member into the gym using the proper check-in procedures.
- Monitor check-ins to identify delinquent accounts and directs that member to appropriate staff member.
- Register all guests into the gym using proper registration procedures.
- Ensures that guests and appointments are directed to the appropriate fitness consultant in a prompt, professional manner.
- Answers phone by the second ring in a professional and courteous manner and uses proper phone greeting techniques.
- Responds immediately to member requests, inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain neat appearance and wear proper uniform attire with nametag while on duty.
- Processes retail and JBar Sales
- Attends all staff meetings as directed.
- Cleans and maintains the Front Desk area according to Company standards.
- Works when scheduled and adheres to company attendance policies.
- Performs other reasonable work assignments as directed by the Gym General Manager and/or Operations Manager to include but not limited to cleaning and picking up of weights.

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 28 per week
