Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking and developing dental x-rays, maintaining patient records, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, CEREC experience and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take dental x-rays
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and trimming models
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Schedule patient appointments
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in medical imaging software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required
