Deli Clerk (Part-Time)

Leg Up Farmers Market is York's Largest Natural Grocery Store, which exists to support Leg Up Farm, a therapy center for children with special needs.

Our Deli Team is responsible for providing delicious lunch & dinner options to our customers. There is a good bit of variety in the department, and it requires a strong sense of urgency as there is always something to do. If you are self-motivated and enjoy working in a Team with other great, friendly, determined people you will enjoy working here!

This isn't your typical food-service environment. While we do work hard, we have a friendly, supportive atmosphere with a great team and great customers. Our Deli is open daily to customers 9am - 4pm, so a standard shift is 8am - 4:30pm. You will need to consistently work 1 Weekend day and generally 2-3 more Weekdays each week.

Responsibilities:

-Give every customer immediate and undivided attention
-Make food to order for each customer
-Follow through on all customer questions and requests
-Engage with customers to offer samples and make recommendations
-Ensure freshness standards are being upheld
-Keep department filled and maintained.
-Keep all cases and shelves clean, well stocked and properly rotated

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
