How you will make an impact:

• Support business unit in data preparation.
• Develop a statistical analysis plan using a large language model (LLM) and natural language processing (NLP).
• Model development and support ongoing projects.
• Conduct advanced research and engineering for machine learning (ML) solutions for healthcare-related topics to support the development of a machine learning pipeline.
• Work with large-scale healthcare datasets to develop and test your ML models.
• Take advantage of models developed internally and/or available from the community to solve research problems in healthcare.
• Work closely with the Data Science and clinical teams to transfer your proof-of-concept research prototypes into meaningful features within our products.

What you'll need (Required):

• Pursuing Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Biomedical Engineering.
• Graduation date of December 2024 or later.
• Availability for an assignment for a minimum of 10 weeks over the course of the summer.
• Must be in good scholastic standing (3.0+ GPA or equivalent).
• Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future.
• Experience with Data Science or building machine learning models is required, specifically natural language processing (NLP).
• Experience with Python required.

• Experience working with large language models (LLM) preferred
• Experience working in life sciences or medical device company.
• Knowledge of dashboard development.
• Possess strong technical writing skills.

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.
For California, the base pay range for this position is $54,000 - $72,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
