Job Summary and Qualifications
The Certified Surgical Technologist – Surgical First Assist (CSTFA) provides technical assistance to physician/registered nurse in surgical procedures related to the operation of the Surgical Suite. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today!
- The surgical technologist function in the role of CSTFA after meeting the qualifications set forth and carries out the functions that will assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation with optimal results for the patient
- The CSTFA does not function concurrently as a scrub during the CSTFA component of surgical patient care
- The CSTFA also functions as a scrub when not assisting in the surgical technologist role
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate from high school or equivalent program
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Current Certificate as a CSTFA Independently maintains Certificate Experience
- Minimum 1 year in a health care setting. GI lab experience preferred
