Ford Motor Company operates a worldwide manufacturing and distribution network in over 150 countries that requires the cross-border movement of parts and vehicles. Automation and operational direct management are necessary, for all Ford materials and shipments. As part of our team, you will contribute to the movement of these parts and vehicles, helping us continue to build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles we're known for.
In this position...
You will manage the roll-out and ongoing maintenance of automated customs filing systems and support our Canadian customs operations, as an integral part of the Global Customs Strategy.
What you'll do...
- Manage the de-risking of Ford's customs compliance space by combining the systems side of the Customs practice with cross-border operational excellence
- Lead the launch of our customs interface systems
- Manage the post-launch operational activities within the customs operational team.
You'll have...
- Bachelors degree
- 3+ Years of Experience
Even better, you may have...
- Experience in Customs system roll-outs and/or maintenance of Global Trade Management (GTM) software
- Experience in Canadian customs cross-border operations and customs regulations
- Knowledge of how to coordinate Canadian business/IT requirements for a Customs Compliance function
- Prior involvement in testing of GTM solutions / Business requirements
- Experience developing data analytics tools to identify process improvement opportunities within large and complex Customs Datasets
- Experience with both Legacy and modern software platforms
- Familiarity with software/systems transitions
- Supported the development of Customs metrics based on documentation of proper data safe sources
- Fluency in Spanish or other second languages
