Job Description
- Manage Part Master, BOM & Engineering Change Control and provide engineering change control, analysis & release service.
- Perform Engineering Change - CN (Change Notice), TC (Temporary Change) & CE (Change Execution) MDS specialist roles in HPLM.
- Analyze data (HPLM, drawings) generated by Engineering (PD, Manufacturing) in order to catch errors & prevent any impact to downstream systems / users.
- Create / maintain BOMs & related data in ERP system (QAD, SAP) in line with the Engineering system (HPLM) to ensure accuracy of all changes.
- Coordinate data set-up through HPLM workflow process (Functional Roles), set-up BOM’s in ERP system (QAD, SAP) & time in changes based on plant timing request.
- Global interface with cross-organizational teams (Program Management, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Plant MP&L, Finance & Purchasing)
- Support all Current Model and New Model Launches.
- Training - Lead & provide all “Power User” training for HPLM / SMM to multiple ATC users groups (Product Design, Manufacturing, CAD, Plant MP&L, Purchasing, & Finance)
- BOM Accuracy (ERP), CN Audit (HPLM), Process Compliance (HPLM & ERP)
- Manage weekly ATC Engineering Change Meetings with Hanon Plants through Business Intelligence reporting to communicate & drive change from design (HPLM) to execution (ERP)
- 3-5 years related experience within Bill-of-Material and/or design engineering environment, preferably with automotive products in HVAC, Fluid Transport, compressors, valves, pumps, EGR or Heat Exchange
- Bachelor’s Degree required and/or equivalent job experience (Business or Engineering)
- Engineering Change Process experience.
- Bill-of-Material experience with understanding of HVAC, Compressor, Fluid Transport & Thermal experience preferred.
- System expertise preferred – Teamcenter (HPLM), QAD, SAP, EnterProj, CAD & Microsoft Office Tools.
- Global Problem solving skills – ability to think out of the box, troubleshooting design/manufacturing Bill-of-Material issues, & HPLM system troubleshooting.
- Excellent written & oral communication skills – ability to hold weekly meetings with Hanon plants & cross-organizational teams.
- Excellent organizational & follow-up skills to support MDS main tasks & data accuracy.
- Ability to work closely with cross-organizational teams – great people skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Travel may be required to suppliers, customers and corporate manufacturing plants; International travel as required.
